Wonderful Family Movie – The Runner from Ravenshead

Whatever the ages of your children, or even if you have no children, you simply must buy this movie:

We just finished watching this film last night and the entire family was in stitches laughing and almost in tears from the moving ending. The Runner from Ravenshead is a production of the Steege family. The father and mother did all the writing, directing and production over the course of two years. Their five children ages 9 down to 2 serve as the actors for the film, each child playing several different roles.

The film is an allegory about coming to Christ and conquering sin. Our sin and struggles, represented by the Wardens in the film, always follows right behind us to recapture us back into life in the pit while the Lord sends His guides to us to encourage us toward rest in Him in the City of Refuge.

You will be stunned by the excellent production qualities in this independent film, but even more impacted by the depth and power of the story. The Runner from Ravenshead is a must see film for all families.

Josiah Nahum Ethell

Our third son, Josiah Nahum, was born this morning at 1:25 AM in our home in Newville, PA. Like the other two boys, Josiah was born in the water in our birth pool. Here are the vital statistics:

Weight: 9 lbs 12 oz
Length: 23 inches

David, Jr. turned 5! It’s so wonderful to see God’s work in Davey’s life. Davey has really grown up as a boy lately not only with exciting things like riding his bike with no training wheels but with his desire to follow the Lord and be a big brother to his little sisters.

May our Lord bless you with His wisdom as you grow, son.

Yesterday afternoon Heather left a note in my office sharing the wonderful news that a new little baby is on the way!

The newest Ethell will arrive, Lord willing, near the end of April next year.

So all the old archives and posts from the previous site are gone. I have found a few online under archive.org that I may repost, but for the most part I’ll have to start from scratch.
